A Little Rock man is recovering from a gunshot wound to the leg after a weekend incident.

It happened just before 5:30 Saturday morning in the 1900 block of Allis Street.

The 25-year-old victim told police he was shot as he walked into the front door of a home by someone he did not see. The man said about an hour earlier, he had been attacked at the Elevations nightclub at 7200 Colonel Glenn Road.

Police say the victim first told police the suspect had a .357 handgun but then changed his statement to say he did not see it and became uncooperative with officers.

A man sleeping inside the house when the shooting happened said he had opened the front door after the victim knocked when the shots rang out. He said he dove behind a bed, heard a car speed off then noticed the victim had been shot.

The victim's injury was described as serious, but he was expected to survive.

An hour before the Allis Street shooting, police were called to the 7100 block of Colonel Glenn Road, where a man was found shot at least twice in the back, suffering wounds to his neck and shoulder, according to the incident report.

Police say the victim was getting into a car when the shots were fired and did not see who shot him.

After he arrived at the hospital, doctors told police he may have been shot five times, appeared to be paralyzed from the chest down but was expected to survive.
