One Killed in Highway Accident in Carroll County

A Green Forest man is dead after a head-on crash in Carroll County.

It happened on Highway 62 west of Green Forest around 2:30 p.m. Friday.

According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, 52-year-old Shannon Pharis was killed when his Chevrolet Silverado crossed the center line and struck another vehicle.

A passenger in the second vehicle was injured.

The investigation is continuing.
