Arkansans who have broken or hanging limbs on their property from the Christmas snowstorm are being reminded about the potential hazards the limbs create with storms moving into the state today.

The Arkansas Department of Emergency Management (ADEM) says along with tons of debris, last month's storm also left broken limbs still dangling from trees and trees that were weakened and could fall.

With the wind and rain of a stormy forecast, the ADEM says the dangers increase.

ADEM is reminding people with damaged limbs on their property to be ever mindful of the risk they can be to people, homes, and vehicles.

A related situation that also could occur is the possibility of power outages should these limbs fall onto power lines, the ADEM says.
