Outages Continue Throughout New Year's Day

Folks across central Arkansas are still without power a week after an historic Christmas storm.

According to the Entergy website, 2,616 customers are still without power. Throughout the early morning hours on Tuesday, outages were up in the 4,000s.

The bulk of the outages were in the hardest hit areas, including Pulaski and Pope counties.

Entergy spokesperson Sally Graham said these particular outages aren't necessarily due to last week's snow storm.

She says the new outages could also be due to limb falls and equipment failure.

She also says all storm-related outages should be resolved by the end of the day Tuesday.
