Benton Man Killed When Tree Falls on Home During Winter Weather

Lloyd Sandridge, 60, of Benton died Wednesday after a tree fell on his home during the winter weather.

According to Benton Police, they received a call at roughly 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday that a tree had fallen on the home on Bass Lane.

The police department responded to assist the Benton Fire Department, Lt. Kevin Russell said. They found a tree, five feet in diameter, had fallen on Sandridge's home.

Sandridge lived with a roommate who was unharmed, but Sandridge was pronounced dead on the scene.
