Students Put Spin On Canned Food Drive

Students at Amboy Elementary marched their canned good donations down the street to the Amboy Food Pantry about a block away.

Organizers said it helps the kids know exactly who they're helping when they actually make the drop-off themselves.

"I think it helps them to know that there are hungry people in the city," said Rita Holman. "Some of them are hungry children."

Organizers anticipate the drive will bring in about 1,200 canned good products.
