The Federal Trade Commission cracking down on robocalls targeting Arkansans and bilking them out of their hard earned cash.

The FTC says it's pulling the plug on five companies responsible for millions of illegal prerecorded calls from "Rachel" from "cardholder services."

The scam revolves around a cardholder services call that promises to help consumers  lower their credit card interest rates after collecting an up-front fee.  The fees are never lowered.

The Arkansas Attorney General's office has pending litigation against companies believed to be using deceptive telemarketing tactics.

If you think you've been affected, your urged to contact  the AG's office.
