Arkansas Authorities Investigating 2 Separate Deaths of Children Left in Hot Cars

Authorities are investigating the deaths of two children who were reportedly left in hot cars.

A 2-year-old child died after being left in a car in a Springdale Walmart parking lot, and KAIT is reporting the death of another child left in a hot car in Newport.

Springdale Police say the child was left in the car for approximately 45 minutes before being pulled from the car and taken to Northwest Medical Center in Springdale.

Police in Springdale are interviewing family members at the hospital, but could not comment further on the case.

There are currently no other details on the report of a child death in Newport, but stick with ArkansasMatters.com more information on both cases as it becomes available.
