Parents of Arkadelphia students packed into the school board meeting Tuesday night.
They were hoping to voice their concerns about how the district handled what we are told was a sexual situation between students at a primary school.
The alleged incident happened between students at Perritt Primary School.
Some parents at the meeting expressed anger at not getting a chance to voice their opinions in the wake of the report.
Superintendent Donnie Whitten has suspended three staff members, and accepted the immediate retirement of the Principal.
The disciplinary measure followed preliminary information from a Department of Human Services investigation. but some aren't sure that is enough.
Superintendent Whitten told KARK he learned of the situation from a concerned parent, but failed to report it to authorities.
Until hearings for the suspended employees have been held, the district won't be publicly addressing other details of the situation, frustrating some, leaving others uneasy.
We are being told by those close to one of the teachers involved that the first hearing is slated for Monday.
