Teen Run Over And Killed By Driver

Friends remember 14-year-old Michael Stanley.
"He used to walk by my house everyday.
But this day, little rock police say, the 14 year old was riding his bike.
Sgt. Cassandra Davis with the Little Rock Police Department tells us, the boy somehow took a man's wallet at the Asher 1 Stop Store.
The boy jumped on his bike and the man took off in his van right behind him.
An eye witness explains the rest.
Alexander Phillips saw the entire thing.
"And he went up that hill there and the vehicle was right behind him. When he got up that hill there the bicycle kinda flipped him over. And that vehicle run over the bicycle and him."
But that's not all.
Phillips says the man got out of his van.
"Drug him all the way from behind his car. He started beating on him saying where's my wallet where's my wallet, where's my money, and he kicked him a couple of times.?"
Police say code enforcement officers happen to be in the area and called for an ambulance and police.
He was taken to Children"s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Friends will always remember him.
"Always smiling, got his head tilted to the side like that."
