Archeologists Assist in Search for Missing Businessman John Glasgow

State-of-the-art archeology equipment was used Thursday to comb a Lonoke County field in search of the body of missing Little Rock businessman John Glasgow.

You may remember two weeks ago, a felon told KARK Four's Lauren Trager that on the night Glasgow disappeared four years ago, he was contacted to bury Glasgow's body in that field.

Now, Little Rock police are continuing to investigate that claim but they've got some expert help.

The Arkansas Archeological Survey was brought in Thursday with five high-tech tools.

On of those tools: a ground penetrating radar machine that sends beams of energy into the soil and can go down about 10 feet, looking for areas where the earth has been disturbed in some way, beyond normal farm work.

While they say they know little about who they are looking for, they say they're just focusing on the task at hand in hopes they can help.

"We are happy to do it, hopefully the imagery we get will be useful to them. We always come out when they call," said Dr. Jami Lockhart with the Arkansas Archeological Survey.

After their data is analyzed, the archeologists will tell police specific points that might need to be dug up. That may still take several more days.
