White House Ticked over Clinton VP Rumor

By: Newsroom Solutions
Updated: October 14, 2011
"The Washington Times" says the White House is working hard to quash a rumor that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will replace Vice President Joe Biden next year.

Both Biden and Clinton were questioned about the possible move on NBC's "Today" show on separate days this week.

In answer to a question asking whether he'll be on the ticket again in 2012, Biden said "Absolutely, positively yes."  When asked if there was a chance she'd switch places with Biden Clinton said "No, there is not" and added Mr. Biden is doing "an amazingly good job."

The questions prompted White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer to tweet about the "weird todayshow obsession with (the) faux story."
