Former pizza executive Herman Cain is leading the race for the GOP presidential nomination.

A newly released poll by the "Wall Street Journal" and NBC News finds 27-percent of likely Republican primary voters saying Cain is their number one pick for the nomination.

Mitt Romney is in second spot at 23-percent and Rick Perry has slipped to 16-percent.

The poll of one-thousand adults was conducted between October 6th and 10th, before this week's GOP presidential debate in New Hampshire.
