Republicans Plan Victory Rally Today in Joplin, Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- It's been a week since the August primary election in Missouri.  Today, Republicans who won their primary races take to the road to kick off their general election races. 

What is being billed as a "Victory Tour" began Monday in Jefferson City and Lee's Summit.

Today, the tour begins in Joplin, stops in Springfield, then goes on to St. Louis and St. Charles.

On the tour will be US Senator Roy Blunt, Congressman Todd Akin, State Auditor Tom Schweich, Dave Spence, candidate for Governor, Lt Governor Peter Kinder, Shane Schoeller, candidate for Secretary of State, and Cole McNary, candidate for Treasurer.

The rally in Joplin is at 8:30 at 2727 E 32nd Street, and the stop in Springfield is at 11:00 a.m. at Republican headquarters, 300 E. Sunshine.
