After a cloudy and rainy start to the day...conditions improved
rapidly with skies clearing from west to east behind the cold front.
Once skies cleared...strong northerly winds developed with wind
gusts routinely topping 30 miles per hour around the state.
Afternoon temperatures ranged from the 40s in the northwest to lower
60s in the southeast.

Tonight...cold temperatures will return during the overnight hours
with readings in the 20s and lower 30s. Sunny and breezy conditions
will continue on wednesday...however winds will not be as strong as
what we saw today.

Through the rest of the week...high pressure to our west will begin
to shift eastward. As a result...temperatures will gradually warm by
a few degrees each week with no precipitation expected. By
saturday...temperatures across southern
arkansas could once again
reach the 70 degree mark.

The next best chance for precipitation does not return to the
forecast until the second half of the weekend as yet another storm
system approaches from the west.
