Glasses can be costly, and for students who need them but don't have the money to pay for them, that can be even more heartbreaking.

Now thanks to the Brandon Burlsworth Foundation, every year students that are low income or have no insurance receive a voucher for a free pair of glasses.

"Vision is such an important part of what they do in class everyday, if they can't see the board, how are they going to learn?" says Maumelle Middle School nurse Amy Davidson. "If they can't read their book, makes it much harder."

For more information, check with your child's school nurse on how to get a voucher.

Burlsworth was a walk-on for the Razorbacks. An All-American, Brandon died in a car accident just 11 days after being drafted to the Indianapolis Colts.
