Prescott Man Killed When Amtrak Train Hits Car

A Prescott man has died after his car was hit by an Amtrak train.

It happened Sunday night shortly before 11 o'clock on County Road 48, west of Prescott (Nevada County).

The Arkansas State Police (ASP) report states that Jimmie L. Guyton, Jr., 47, was headed north on CR 48 in his 1990 Buick Century when he failed to yield to the oncoming train.

The train hit Guyton's car on the rear driver's side and he was pronounced dead at the scene, the report said.
