Update: LR Police Still Searching for Bank Robbers After Teller Pepper-Sprayed

Update (December 13):
The Little Rock Police Department has released new information about a Wednesday afternoon bank robbery on the city's west side.

It happened just before 3:00 at the Metropolitan National Bank, 7401 Cantrell Road, in the Tanglewood Shopping Center.

Police say a woman, followed by a man, walked into the bank after which she used pepper spray on a 28-year-old man who worked as a teller. The man then pulled out a handgun and told everyone to get on the floor.

The incident report noted that one teller told police the suspects looked like customers who have been in the bank before.

A review of the surveillance video showed the suspects' vehicle headed east down Cantrell Road.

Little Rock Police are searching for a man and a woman suspected of robbing a bank Wednesday afternoon.

The robbery occurred just before 3:00 p.m. at the Metropolitan National Bank in the 7400 block of Cantrell.

According to early reports, one suspect is a black man about 6 feet 4 inches tall, about 280 pounds with a full beard and dressed in all black, including a zip-up hooded sweatshirt.

The other suspect is a black woman about 5 feet 4 inches tall, about 140 pounds, with long black hair, also wearing all black, including a hat.
 
The man reportedly had a small handgun, and the woman pepper-sprayed a 28-year-old man who worked as a teller in the bank before they took off fled in a white four-door Chevrolet Malibu.
 
There were no customers in the bank at the time of the robbery, and the teller was treated at the scene.
