Former Benton Parks Official Pleads Guilty to Stealing Public Funds

A former Benton city parks leader told a judge Tuesday, she stole public money.

Prosecutors say Kitty Smith stole close to $6,500 dollars from a park concession stand she was in charge of, then lied about it in paperwork.

She was sentenced to three years probation and has to pay back all the money.
