A Bentonville man faces charges after police say he was accused of sexually assaulting a resident of a Rogers health facility.

Rogers officers arrested 20-year-old Luis Antonio Lopez on Tuesday following an investigation.

Lopez was accused of sexually assaulting a 74-year-old female who lives at New Hope Health and Rehab on Aug. 13.

Shane Edwards, Chief Operating Officer for Arkansas Health and Rehab says, "Mr. Lopez is not allowed on the premises. He is no longer a part of the facility. Further than that, this is an ongoing investigation."

Arkansas Law states a person commits sexual assault in the second degree if they engage in sexual contact with another person who is incapable of consent because he or she is physically helpless, mentally defective or mentally incapacitated.

Lopez is charged with sexual assault in the second degree, a class B felony.

He was taken to Benton County Jail to await a bond hearing.
