The prom is a special event in the life of a high school teenager, especially for girls who are looking forward to getting dressed in that perfect gown.

But for one teen, the perfect prom dress was a sweet and fruity labor of love.

Her dress was created and constructed completely of Starburst wrappers.

It took more than a year and a half to collect the 18,000 wrappers needed to make the bodice of the gown and another five months to actually make it. To accessorize the creation, there were hair bands and a purse to match.
