Local AM Buzz: LRSD Votes to Approve Union's Pay Raise, Overnight Stabbing in Little Rock

The Little Rock School District votes today to approve a 1% pay raise and boost to benefits for the Little Rock Education Association.
A week after employees picketed, demanding an 8% raise the membership voted unanimously Thursday to approve a 1% pay bump and full benefits package.
The 1% raise is retroactive to the beginning of the school year the benefits increase retroactive to January.
Union reps say they expect the pay raise to be approved by the district.
Overnight Stabbing in Little Rock
A man was stabbed around midnight at the EZ Mart on 14th & Main Street in Little Rock.
Police say the victim was able to take himself to Arkansas Children's Hospital.
No word on his condition or if a suspect has been named.
LR Airmen Deploying to Asia
Nearly 250 Little Rock Airmen are set to deploy to Asia this morning.
Three aircraft from the 50th Airlift Squadron are going to support operations in southwest Asia.
Team Little Rock currently has more than 1,000 airmen deployed supporting operations around the world.
