It came nearly a decade after the 9-11 attacks, of which Bin Laden is considered the mastermind.
As the anniversary approached a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson issued a statement, saying quote
"we have no indication of any specific, credible threats or plots against the U.S. tied to the one year anniversary of Bin Laden's death."
Delta Buys Conoco Phillips' Trainer Refinery
Delta Airlines has made an unprecedented purchase in hopes of slashing its largest single expense, jet fuel.
The airline plans to purchase the Trainer refinery from Conoco Phillips for $150 million.
It's expected the deal would allow Delta to cut its fuel bill by $300 million a year.
Delta's Monroe Energy subsidiary will spend $100 million to make changes to the refinery in order to maximize the production of jet fuel.
May Day Protests
Occupy Wall Street Protesters call for a world-wide strike.
The people who "occupied" New York City's Zuccotti Park, and parks across the country last year, are calling for a "global" general strike today against work, school, and just about any activity promoting commerce.
Marches and rallies are planned for New York City.
