Texarkana Bond Vote Date Expected to Change

The date of a special election in Texarkana, Ark., is expected to change Monday.

City officials have asked voters to decide whether to extend a current bond, which would direct more than $9 million toward street repairs.

Monday night, officials are expected to change the election date to June 26 instead of June 12 to follow state election law.

An official has previously said the city has gone more than a decade without doing major street repair work.
