Republican presidential candidates are putting in their two cents on the struggling economy.

The eight candidates spoke on the subject last night in Michigan for a debate aired on CNBC.

Herman Cain said "we must grow this economy" and added the White House has done nothing to help the economy improve.

Mitt Romney said the U.S. should not step in and bail out overseas banks or struggling nations such as Italy and Greece.

Meanwhile, Rick Perry apparently suffered a memory lapse while talking about his economic plan.

The Texas governor has said his economic plan would cut three government agencies, but last night he could only name the first two, Commerce and Education.

The governor got a few laughs from the audience when he failed to remember the third.

Perry later recalled the third department he would cut as the Energy Department.
