Arkansas Fall Foliage Color Reports Now Available

By: KARK 4 News
Updated: March 15, 2013
Fall starts today and Arkansas is ready for it with fall foliage color reports now available on the state government's website (click here).

The first of this season's Arkansas Fall Color Reports was posted on Thursday.

A group of spotters around the state keep the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism updated on the status of the changing of the leaves in their area. These are compiled, then posted on Arkansas.com (click here) each Thursday afternoon during the season.

You can also get the reports over the phone by calling 1-800-NATURAL.

In addition to the color reports, you'll find suggestions of various scenic drives throughout the state. While cruising the backroads of the Natural State, look for roadside stands to get your fall decorations, including pumpkins, gourds, cornstalks and more. You can check the Arkansas Agritourism page (click here) to get locations.

Several farms across the state also offer corn and hay mazes, hay rides, pick-your-own pumpkin patches, and more during fall. You can find information on these in the calendar of events (click here).

If a motorcycle or bicycle is your preferred mode of transportation, you can download the "Let's Ride" motorcycling brochure or the "On/Off Road" bicycling brochure. Then hit the road and enjoy the best of autumn in Arkansas.
