Updated: June 30, 2011
President Obama is officially running for re-election.

Obama kicked off his campaign this morning with a short video on his website (click here), as well as emails and text messages to supporters.

The video features a number of Obama's backers talking about the road ahead, but does not feature the President himself.

Analysts expect Obama to raise a record one-billion dollars for the race.
