Update: Russellville Police Charge "Masked Man" in Teen Girl's Attempted Attack

RUSSELLVILLE, AR - Attempted rape charges have been filed against a man accused of approaching a teenaged girl and ordering her to take off her clothes.

RUSSELLVILLE, AR -- Russellville Police arrested a man witnesses say put on a ski mask and approached a 14-year-old girl.
Officers responded to a call in the 1700 block of South Erie just before 4:00 Wednesday afternoon.
The caller said they saw a man exit a vehicle, put on a ski mask, approach a 14-year-old girl and ordered her to take her clothes off, according to police.
The teenager screamed and ran away, while two men who witnessed the entire event began to chase after the suspect, causing him to flee.
Officers located 22-year-old Travis Spearman and took him to the Russellville Police Department for questioning.
He was later taken to the Pope County Detention Center, where he was placed on felony hold.
Spearman is scheduled for a bond hearing Friday morning.
