One of the four finalists in the running to become the next superintendent of the Little Rock School District took questions from the media and community members Wednesday afternoon.

Dr. Dexter Suggs is chief of staff of the Indianapolis School District.

He said it's not only the history of the Little Rock schools that makes the job attractive, but it's also the board's desire to do the things right.

He said parents and students directly address him on bullying concerns, and he handles them immediately.

"By facilitating that process, I can assure you that these particular issues are being dealt with. If selected as superintendent, that's something I will continue on because I think every student deserves and should have the opportunity to attenda school that's free from bullying and intimidation," Suggs said.
