Highway 70 Lane Closures to be Extended due to Winter Storm Cleanup

By: KARK 4 News
Updated: February 25, 2013
Crews continuing to remove winter storm debris along Highway 70 in Garland County will require additional lane closures, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation (AHTD) officials.

The work began in early February on each side of the highway between the Garland County line and Martin Luther King Expressway in Hot Springs.

Due to extensive ice damage to trees, the project will continue in that area until at least Friday, March 22. All work will be performed weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
