How Red Cross Fared During Storm

Brigette Williams the communications officer said many of the people who step-in to help were in need of help themselves, without power, or snowed in.
The lack of manpower created a tough time dealing with the aftermath especially since the outages led to an increase in house fires.
"Because of people using a lot of heating sources they probably shouldn't have used," Williams said. "People using fireplaces because that was their sole means of staying warm."
She said the Red Cross is currently assessing their resources in order to get everything restocked.
