Benton County Man Pleads Guilty to Child Pornography Charges

By: News Release
Updated: December 11, 2012
A Benton County man arrested last year by agents from the Attorney General's Office pleaded guilty on Monday to multiple felony child pornography charges, Attorney General Dustin McDaniel announced.

Kile Devon Licause, 25, of Rogers, pleaded guilty in Benton County Circuit Court to 15 counts of distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.

Circuit Judge Robin Green sentenced Licause to 25 years in prison, with an additional 10-year suspended sentence.

As a condition of his plea, Licause will be required to register as a sex offender.

"With this guilty plea, the defendant will no longer have the opportunity to cause harm to our children through his criminal actions," McDaniel said. "Our Cyber Crimes Unit will continue to investigate, arrest and pursue convictions of those who would exploit our most vulnerable citizens in such a manner."

Licause was arrested in October 2011 at his home in Rogers after admitting to agents with the Attorney General's Cyber Crimes Unit that he possessed images of child pornography on his laptop computer. The laptop and other electronic evidence were seized by investigators and analyzed at the Cyber Crimes Unit Forensic Lab in Little Rock.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office, Rogers Police Department and Little Flock Police Department assisted the Attorney General's Office in the investigation and arrest. After the investigation, the Attorney General's Office turned the case over to Benton County Prosecuting Attorney Van Stone, who prosecuted Licause.

Licause was being held in the Benton County Detention Center awaiting transfer to the Arkansas Department of Correction.
