Black Friday and Small Business Saturday are behind us.
Now it's time to go online and get ready for the next round of holiday shopping -- Cyber Monday.
Shoppers should be cautious of scammers who want to treat themselves to your hard-earned money.
Here are a few tips to keep your wallet safe:
- Be careful what you search for.
- Adding words like "cheap" or "discount" to your search more than doubles your chances of landing on a site offering counterfeit items.
- Be wary of highly-discounted products, if the deal seems too good to be true, it more than likely is.
- Before you make you final selections, always run a search for the company plus the word "scam", and see what pops up.
