Black Friday Shoppers Brave Long Lines for Low Prices

Many Arkansans packed up their leftovers early to head out and tackle Black Friday. Some skipped Thanksgiving meals altogether, opting to stand in line at Best Buy on McCain Blvd instead.

It's the same at many of the big retailers in the area, the earliest shoppers get the best deals.
Best Buy in North Little Rock opened at midnight Thursday but people camped out starting Wednesday.  The first person in line marked his spot at 3pm Wednesday afternoon with other early birds trickling in throughout the day into the wee hours of Thursday morning.

Best Buy, like many other electronics stores, have flat screen TVs on sale for 50 percent off, but they only have a select few and potential buyers need vouchers to claim the premium products.

People wanting to take advantage of these deals are made best of the long lines by bringing snacks, blankets and entertaining themselves until the doors opened.

"I wanted the TV for a long time, I've had a really small TV. I've wanted a nice one and I heard of this great deal here and I'm getting it," said Sherman Beers.

"It's fun. We had a dance party 30 minutes ago, if you find to do something  it's alright," said Savannah West.
