Updated: September 24, 2012
University of Arkansas senior wide receiver Cobi Hamilton was named SEC co-Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced Monday.

Hamilton broke the SEC and Arkansas single-game records with 303 receiving yards last Saturday against Rutgers. His receiving yards total also ranks as the 14th-highest single-game performance in NCAA FBS history. Hamilton is the first player in SEC history to record a 300-yard receiving game, breaking the previous record of 293 set by LSU's Josh Reed in 2001. The previous Arkansas record of 281 was set last season by Jarius Wright against Texas A&M.

Hamilton collected his 303 yards on 10 receptions, breaking the SEC single-game record for yards-per-catch average (min. 10 receptions) with an average of 30.3 yards per reception. That mark bettered the previous record of 23.3 set by Tennessee's Kelley Washington in 2001.

Hamilton also tied the Arkansas single-game record with three receiving touchdowns, becoming just the third Razorback to catch three touchdown passes in one game. His 303 yards also rank as the highest single-season all-purpose yards output in the NCAA this season and stand third on Arkansas' all-time single-game performance list.

Hamilton leads the SEC and ranks 10th in the conference with his average of 107.3 receiving yards per game this season. The Texarkana, Texas, native has caught at least one pass in 26 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the SEC and tied for the 10th-longest active streak in the NCAA.

He leads all active NCAA players with his career average of 18.6 yards per reception and is tied for the SEC active career lead with 17 receiving touchdowns, tied for fourth in school history. His five 100-yard receiving games are tied for sixth on Arkansas' all-time career list. He also ranks eighth on UA's all-time career list with 1,948 receiving yards and stands 13th in school history with 105 receptions.

The Razorbacks return to action Saturday when they travel to College Station, Texas, to take on Texas A&M in a game set for an 11:21 a.m. kickoff on the SEC Network.
