Some Lucky Arkansans get to Fill Up for Free

By: Lindsey Bryant

We all have to buy gas for our cars, but imagine showing up at the service station to fill up and find out it's for free. That's exactly what happened for the first 200 people who showed up at the SJP Pit Stop on Bankhead Drive in Little Rock. This was part of the nationwide "Take Back your Banking Campaign." Their goal is to raise awareness about what they say is mistreatment from megabanks and to show customers there is a better way to bank.

"I think this is great. I'm glad they're investing back in the community and teaching people about credit unions, smaller banking that they can understand," says Gloria Springer who waited in line for gas.

This was put on the by the Little Rock Community Bankers. In all they gave away $4000 in gas.
