Olympic Spoiler Alert: Former Harding Athlete Runs in 10K

Former Harding University runner Janet Cherobon-Bawcom missed winning a medal this afternoon in the 10K.
She came in 12th in a field of 22 with a time of 31:12:68.
Cherobon-Bawcom, a native of Kenya, qualified for the 2012 London Olympics in the 10K race last month.
Cherobon-Bawcom started running at age 20 when she was told it could help her get a scholarship.
She is Harding's first Olympic athlete.
After becoming a naturalized citizen in 2011, Cherobon-Bawcom was able to represent Team USA in championships events and now represents the nation at the 2012 Olympics.
