University of Arkansas sprinter Regina George has qualified to run in the semifinals in the 400m.
George ran in the last of seven heats in qualifying races this morning in London and came in first with a time of 51.24.
Americans Francena McCorory, Dee Dee Trotter, and Sanya Richards-Ross also qualified for the semifinals.
George, a rising UA senior, broke her school record, set in early June 2012, at the 2012 All Nigeria Athletics Championships.
She is scheduled to run again tomorrow afternoon and will also compete next week in round one of the 4x400m relay.
NBC Sports is airing other track and field events in its coverage today and into the weekend but there's no guarantee that tomorrow's coverage will include George's next race.
