Arkansas Ethics Commission: Trooper Lance King Violated State Law

By: KNWA-TV, Fayetteville
Updated: July 10, 2012
The Arkansas Ethics Commission has said in a letter that Captain Lance King violated state law.

The panel said King accepted football tickets, bowl tickets and a Sugar Bowl ring from the University of Arkansas football program.

The ethics commission sent King a public letter of caution and advised him not to engage in the same activity again.

A letter of caution is one of the commission's mildest sanctions, according to its rules of practice and procedure.

The commission also can issue letters of warning and reprimand and can levy fines between $50 and $2,000.
