Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs is gearing up for a month-long celebration next month.

From start to finish, July figures to be a blast at Oaklawn with the 21st annual Spa Blast, Hot Springs' largest fireworks display, July 3, a Diamond Rio concert July 19 and plenty of other entertainment throughout the entire month.

Spa Blast will once again take place in Oaklawn's infield and admission is free. The gates will open at 6 p.m. and this family-friendly event will culminate at dark with the event's largest fireworks display to date. In addition, there will be plenty of food and drink, a bigger and better Kids Zone, sky divers and live music. Guests are welcome to bring chairs and blankets, but no coolers will be allowed.

In the event of rain, Spa Blast will be held July 4.

Following on the heels of the sold out Oak Ridge Boys concert, award-winning country music sensation Diamond Rio takes to the Finish Line Theater stage Thursday, July 19 at 7 p.m. The group is best known for hits "Beautiful Mess" and "One More Day," Tickets go on sale July 9 for $19.95 or $29.95.

Also at Oaklawn in July, every Monday through Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. it's Happy Hour with drink specials and live music. Live entertainment continues in Pop's Lounge every Friday and Saturday.

At Lagniappe's Restaurant starting July 1, there will be even more opportunities to enjoy a quick bite with the debut of Caf Late Night. Guests can now enjoy a limited menu every Sunday - Thursday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Catfish Nights will continue every Wednesday from 5 to 10 p.m. and every Friday from 5 - 10 p.m. it's Steak Night where guests can enjoy the best steak in Hot Springs or if they prefer, the catch of the day.
