Statehood Day Underway for Arkansas' 176th Birthday

The Historic Arkansas Museum is celebrating the state's 176th anniversary with its Statehood Day celebration.

The event includes a 36-gun salute, flag raising, political speeches and dancing.

The celebration hopes to introduce visitors to 19th century life in the Natural State.

The event continues until 5 p.m. Saturday.
