Michael Rush, 55, was arrested around 4:00 Tuesday.
Conway police say they had received information from employees of the Walmart on Skyline of a man following women around the store and reportedly holding a notebook near their lower bodies as they were shopping. Reports say Rush allegedly concealed an iPod with video recording capabilities in the notebook. Police say he would pretend to be looking at a shopping list when he would duck down and film underneath women's skirts. Officers say none of the women were aware of his actions. In certain cases, the women were accompanied by children.
Police say he took recordings on at least four separate occasions, often on Sunday afternoons.
Rush has been charged with harassment, in this case a misdemeanor. Officers, though, say more charges may be forthcoming.
He was booked into the Faulkner County Jail and bonded out. No one answered the door when KARK visited his home Wednesday.
Rush is a 15 -year employee of Vilonia Schools; in recent years he's been a music and math teacher and a tennis coach.
The superintendent for the district says they are aware of the arrest, but are awaiting further investigation before they take any action.
