Study Links Brain Injuries on Football Fields, War Zones

The research suggests there is a common thread that binds those exposed to traumatic brain injury, whether it happens on the football field or war zone.
Researchers from Boston University compared the brain tissue of four veterans to that of pro-athletes with a history of concussion. They also exposed a group of mice to blast winds, and found they also showed evidence of the brain disease.
