Changes At the Pump

Drivers may soon see changes at the gas pump. Unfortunately, lower gas prices aren't necessarily on the list.

The Obama administration and Environmental Protection Agency are allowing filling stations to ditch pumps used to capture harmful gasoline vapors while refueling cars. That includes the rubber boot at the end of the fuel pump nozzle.

The White House says the move will save consumers and businesses almost $6 billion in the next five years.
