Fayetteville Woman Trying to Cross I-540 Hit by Car, Killed

A Fayetteville woman is dead after being hit by a car on Interstate 540.
It happened Sunday night just after eight o'clock.
The Arkansas State Police (ASP) says Diane Ness, 52, had started driving the wrong way on the off ramp from Highway 112, where she side-swiped a car.
Troopers say Ness then pulled into the median, where she got out and tried to cross the interstate.
As she tried to cross, a vehicle headed south driven by Dagen Moreland, 33, of Hot Springs, hit Ness.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Moreland was not injured.
