UA Sports Information- Saturday, August 06, 2005 --- FAYETTEVILLE, Ark - Arkansas officially began preseason football camp on Saturday afternoon as both newcomers and returning players reported to the Broyles Center. On the agenda on Saturday was checking out equipment, posing for publicity photos and attending a three-hour orientation session. Additional orientation sessions and meetings will be held on Sunday before the players take to the practice field for the first time on Monday afternoon. Practices in the first week of camp will be held in the afternoon to accommodate some players summer school commitments in the morning. "We are excited that reporting day is finally here," Arkansas head coach Houston Nutt said. "We have all had a bad taste in our mouths since the final game of last season and that has been serving as motivation. Now we have an opportunity to get back on the field and do everything we can to make sure that we get back and start a new postseason streak." The Hogs will be in shorts and helmets on Monday and Tuesday before adding shoulder pads to the mix for Wednesday and Thursday. Friday will mark the first day of full pads. Saturday is scheduled to be the first two-practice session of preseason camp.
