UALR kicks off violence prevention campaign

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock kicks off a week long campaign to raise awareness about violence prevention.

It's called Green Dot.

Organizers passed out information to fans at tonight's basketball game against Middle Tennessee.

The goal is to encourage people to be aware of others and look for things in them that may see odd.  They could be dealing with domestic abuse sexual assault, or even bullying.

Campus leaders say your intervention could help them.

"You can look out for each other by seeing what the resources are on campus.  We're asking campus members to learn our resources so we know better how to act in a proactive manner," Sarah Beth Estes said.
