Update (February 6):
The Garland County Sheriff's Office says Hershel Winningham, 53, who was reported missing on Monday, has returned home and is okay.

Original story (February 4):
The Garland County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) is searching for a missing man.

Hershel Winningham, 53, was last seen Monday walking north in a field toward the Andrew Hulsey Fish Hatchery south of Lake Hamilton.

The GCSO says Winningham had argued with his daughter at a home in the 1700 block of Highway 290 before he got mad and walked away.

Deputies say Winningham suffered head injuries in a car wreck about two weeks ago that has left him with diminished capacities.

When the man was not found right away, the GCSO called in its mounted patrol to search a wooded and pasture area about 3.5 to 4 square miles, but found no sign of him.

It's possible that Winningham got a ride into town, deputies say.

The GCSO is asking anyone who knows where Winningham might be to call them at (501) 622-3660.
