The chairman of the board for the First Security Bank is giving Searcy a no-interest loan to help the city with its airport expansion project.

Searcy's mayor says Reynie Rutledge is willing to loan the city up to $230,000 to bridge the gap on an $800,000 project to add a terminal to the city's airport.

The rest of the money for the project, which the mayor hopes to have done by May, is coming from two state grants.
