Man Accused of Conspiring to Kill Ex-Wife's Husband Takes Plea Deal

The man accused of hatching a plan to kill his ex-wife's husband has accepted a plea deal.

Faulkner County Prosecutor Cody Hiland says Clayton Monsees has taken a plea in the murder of Bill Ewing.

Last March, Monsees and his ex-wife Amanda Ewing hatched and executed a plan to kill Bill, according to a Faulkner County Sheriff's report.

Monsees got a total of 55 years for first-degree murder, but testimony during court revealed he is terminally ill.
   
He has agreed to testify against Amanda Ewing, who is still awaiting trial.
